PURPOSE: Approval of Supplement No. 14 will allow Snohomish County Public Works to continue working with Otak, Inc. to provide additional engineering support services during construction of the North Creek Trail project.

BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works (PW) is working to develop a 2.8-mile section of the North Creek Trail between State Route (SR) 524 and 183rd Street SE west of the Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527). PW selected Otak, Inc. using applicable Federal, State and County policies and practices. The initial agreement was approved by Council in February of 2014, for $1,129,511, and included a $100,000 contingency fund. To date thirteen (13) supplements for additional but related services have been completed. Nine (9) supplements were within the Council approved contingency amount. Four (4) supplements were approved by Council under Motions 17-242, 19-110, 20-119 and 21-291. Supplement No.14 will allow Otak, Inc. to provide additional engineering support services during construction. Total payments for services under this supplement shall not exceed $10,922.00, for an amended total amount not to exceed amount of $1,829,218.00.
