Title
Motion 23-223, authorizing the County Executive to sign Supplement No. 2 to Professional Services Agreement CCF01-22 with Confluence Environmental Company to provide permitting services for the Goodman Creek Culvert Replacement Project
body
DEPARTMENT: Public Works

ORIGINATOR: Lori Ericsson

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 5/22/23

PURPOSE: Approval of Supplement No. 2 to Agreement CCF01-22 will allow PW to utilize Confluence Environmental Company to provide Permitting Services necessary to complete the Goodman Creek Culvert Replacement project.

BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works (PW) intends to replace the Goodman Creek Culvert with a new bridge which carries Mountain Loop Highway over Goodman Creek approximately seven miles South of Darrington. Confluence Environmental Company was one of four consulting firms responding to RFQ-22-003SB and was selected through established Federal, State and County policies and practices. To date one (1) Supplement has been processed to add additional but related scope within the Council approved contingency amount and was approved by the Public Works Director. The existing culvert is a 12-foot diameter corrugated metal pipe. The culvert and supported roadway were damaged in the federally declared weather emergency of February 2020 . Supplement NO. 2 will allow Confluence Environmental Company to provide additional permitting services as well as construction related permit support. Total payments for services under this supplement will not exceed $53,041, for an amended total amount not to exceed, $280,957.
