PURPOSE: Approval of DSA with the State Auditor’s Office for the completion of the County’s ACFR (Annual Comprehensive Financial Report)
BACKGROUND: The purpose of the DSA is to provide the requirements and authorization for Snohomish County to exchange confidential information with the SAO pursuant to ESSB 5432, Chapter 291, Laws of 2021. This agreement is entered into between Snohomish County and SAO to ensure compliance with legal requirements and Executive Directives in the handling of information considered confidential (XO 16-01, RCW 42.56, and OCIO policy 141 and standards 141.10). Current DSA’s will expire 6/30/24 necessitating a new DSA beginning 7/1/24. County Council approval needed as approving body for the TBD.
