PURPOSE: Motion to increase the Health Department’s 2024 adopted FTE by 2.50 FTE
BACKGROUND: The Department has received additional grant funding through Department of Health for The Emerging Infections Program (EIP) Network. The EIP represents a convergence of surveillance and public health practices, vital for detecting, controlling, and preventing emerging infectious diseases. The Department is requesting an additional Regular 1.00 Epidemiologist 2 and Regular .50 Epidemiologist 1 to work on this grant opportunity. The Department additionally has received notice from Department of Health for COVID-19 Refugee and Immigrant Community Health Worker support that the project has been extended. This will continue a current Project 1.0 Outreach Worker previously approved through 6/30/2024 to 12/31/2024.
