PURPOSE: Request Council’s release of 2024 budget funds for SWMS Project Phase 1
BACKGROUND: County Council approved Amendment No 33 on November 8, 2023 to Ordinance No. 23-121 adopting Budget Condition 6 to the 2024 adopted budget in releasing funds for Phase 1 and Phase 2 for a feasibility study, architectural analysis and floor plan creation within the Snohomish County Jail. The Department of Facilities and Fleet has identified a consultant for the initial walk through of the space to determine feasibility of placing the SWMS within the County Jail. The release of the budgeted funds by council motion is necessary to complete Phase 1 of this initiative to determine project feasibility
