PURPOSE: AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO SIGN AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN SNOHOMISH COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS UNION LOCAL #2597
BACKGROUND: Amendment No. 1 to this agreement will add a 3% monthly specialty pay premium for employees who are certified members of the Water Rescue Team. This additional specialty provides the Fire Department with resources to provide better service to the airport. This premium is consistent with other premiums provided to employees with specialized duties both in the County and in other area fire agencies.
