PURPOSE: Approval of the Agreement for Professional Services with Northwest Helicopters, LLC
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office utilizes helicopters as part of its search and rescue and law enforcement services. Helicopter maintenance, repair and inspections are required as part of normal operations and as required by the Federal Aviation Administration. NW Helicopter was the successful bidder on RFP 20-004BC to provide such services.

DEPARTMENT FISCAL IMPACT NOTES: Funds allocated in 2022 from the sale of the Cathcart Property (Facilities Capital) and additional funding from a UASI Grant through the Dept of Emergency Mgmt. for upgrades to the Bell Helicopter and not yet expended are being rolled over from the now expired service contract to this new service contract. The remaining funds for ongoing repair & maintenance have been budgeted in 2023 and requested in the 2024 budget.
