DEPARTMENT:  Central Human Resources

ORIGINATOR:  Brittany Johnson

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 5/11/23

PURPOSE: Approving and implementing compensation increases for non-represented Snohomish County employees as authorized in the 2023 Annual Budget.

BACKGROUND: Negotiations were recently completed for the AFSCME Master Collective Bargaining Agreement and ratified by the employee Union members. The agreement covers the time period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. This agreement provides for an 8.0% increase in pay effective January 1, 2023 for represented employees covered by the AFSCME Master. This motion affords the same 8.0% increase in pay in 2023 to currently employed non-represented regular employees and temporary employees. Authority for the aforementioned pay increase is based upon Amended Ordinance 22-059.
