Receiving the 2022 Apprentice Utilization Report

body

DEPARTMENT:  Finance

ORIGINATOR:  Bramby Tollen, Purchasing Manager

EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 5/8/23

PURPOSE: Transmit 2022 Apprentice Utilization Report

BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Code (SCC) Chapter 3.05, Construction Projects -- Apprentice Requirements, requires that a labor hour goal for the use of apprentices, originally established for the campus redevelopment initiative (CRI) project, be broadened in 2006 to apply to County construction projects estimated to cost one million dollars or more.  In 2010 the threshold for requiring the use of apprentices was lowered, from projects estimated to cost one million dollars or more, to projects estimated to cost $250,000 or more.  In accordance with SCC Section 3.05.060, the Executive shall report to the Council annually upon the use of apprentices on County construction projects.  This ECAF is for the purpose of transmitting the 2022 Apprentice Utilization Report
