PURPOSE: Approve amendment No 1 to the Tulalip Tribes ILA agreement to remove the match requirement.
BACKGROUND: the County and the Tribes executed an agreement entitled Interlocal Agreement between Snohomish County and the Tulalip Tribes of Washington to Implement the Community Floodplain Solutions - Phase II Project (the “Agreement”), on October 17, 2022. The Agreement required the Tribes provide a matching amount of funds to parallel the match required in the Ecology grant. the County has fulfilled the match required in the Ecology grant, therefore, it is no longer necessary for the Tribes to fulfill the match required in the Agreement. The County and the Tribes wish to revise the Agreement to eliminate the Tribes’ match requirement.
