PURPOSE: Approval of Agreement CC02-23 between Snohomish County and Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, P.S. for On-Call Legal Services - Environmental Review.
BACKGROUND: Public Works is requesting approval of a contract for legal services with Hillis Clark Martin & Peterson, P.S., (recently merged with Joyce Ziker Partners, PLLC) for Environmental Review. Historically, the services offered under this agreement have been used for the Snohomish Shops property and the Sisco Landfill Site. The scope of services focuses on potential site development, advice and representation in connection with potential cleanup, negotiation with adjacent property owners concerning the potential contamination of the County’s property, and negotiation with the Department of Ecology. The agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Total charges for services provided under this agreement shall not exceed $100,000.
