PURPOSE: Approval of Motion authorizing the director of Public Works to approve task assignments initiated under the Conservation and Natural Resources 2023-2025 On-Call Master Agreements.
BACKGROUND: Public Works manages an on-call program for various disciplines and subcategories, including Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which is used on an as-needed basis for emergency projects, time critical projects, and for elements of projects where the required expertise is not available. Occasionally, Public Works requires the use of a consultant under one of the subcategories found under the DNCR On-Call. This motion would authorize the Director of Public Works to approve task assignments initiated by the Department of Public Works that are issued under the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources 2023-2025 on-call master agreements. Approval of this motion will allow for efficient access of the DCNR On-Call Master Agreements and will aid in the delivery of council approved 2023-2028 ACP and TIP projects which require consultant support in the Drainage, Hydrologic/Hydraulic, River, Landscape, Septic and Sewer or Surface Water Planning subcategories.
