PURPOSE: This motion would authorize the Director of Conservation and Natural Resources to approve task assignments issued under the 2023-2025 on-call master agreements for Public Works.
BACKGROUND: Public Works manages an on-call program for various disciplines and subcategories, including Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, which is used on an as-needed basis for emergency projects, time critical projects, and for elements of projects where the required expertise is not available. Occasionally, DCNR requires the use of a consultant under one of the subcategories found under the Public Works On-Call. Approval of this motion will allow for efficient access to the Public Works On-Call Master Agreements and will aid in the delivery of council approved 2023-2027 ACP and TIP projects which require consultant support in the Engineering Services, Transportation, Environmental Services and Real Property subcategories.
