PURPOSE: To obtain Council approval and authorization for the Executive to sign amendment 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with The CNA Corporation to provide additional consulting services regarding emergency management planning services.
BACKGROUND: Due to the prolonged COVID-19 activation DEM is contracting with The CNA Corporation to provide consulting services regarding emergency management planning services to augment and support DEM staff in the completion of several projects. DEM has extended the contract with CNA and expanded their scope of work. The original Agreement is the product of County RFP No. RFP-017-21SB. All funding is included in our 2023 Approved GWP (Motion 22-423) and adopted budget.
