PURPOSE: To appoint an Administrator of the Office of Hearings Administration (which position also serves as Hearing Examiner) for an initial term of one year and subsequent terms of two years.
BACKGROUND: SCC 2.02.015 directs the County Council to appoint an Administrator of the Office of Hearings Administration (which position also serves as Hearing Examiner) for an initial term of one year and subsequent terms of two years. County Council first appointed Peter Camp to the position of Administrator of the Office of Hearings Administration in 2014 and reappointed him since then. (Motions 14-065, 15-122, 17-009, 19-041, and 21-019.) His current term ends February 18, 2023. If the motion is approved, Mr. Camp would be reappointed to a two year term, commencing February 19, 2023 and ending on February 18, 2025.
