PURPOSE: Change Council representation on the Board of Health
BACKGROUND: In 2022 Council adopted Ordinance 22-061, establishing the new Health Department, and included creation of the Board of Health under the County. Currently, SCC 2.300.100 stipulates that the Council representation on the board be the Chair and Vice Chair of the Council. The proposed ordinance would change this so that any two council members, selected by the Chair of the Council, may serve on the board.
