EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Lacey Harper (12/21/22)

 

PURPOSE: To extend the contract for an additional year and increase the total compensation from $215,000 to $265,000 in order to continue legal efforts as previously outlined. 

 

BACKGROUND:   An extension of the contract and additional $50,000.00 compensation is needed in order to cover additional expenses through 2023 in order to continue to pursue railbanking of the corridor.  This amendment will allow the retained attorney to advise and represent the County in connection with ongoing litigation efforts in connection with the current conditions and risks associated with ongoing litigation associated with the corridor;
