PURPOSE: Amendment No 2 is to extend the ILA agreement with French Slough Flood Control District under the Flood Damage Reduction Program due to the delays in permitting by the Army Corps of Engineers.
BACKGROUND: The French Slough Flood Control District applied for grant funds to secure and repair the levee on the South end of the Pilchuck River. The protective surface has been washed away over time and is providing little protection the structures and roads in the area. Ordinance 21-017 and interlocal agreement dated December 3, 2021 was established to provide French Slough Flood Control District with funding in the amount of $75,450 with a 25% match requirement. The ILA agreement was written with one year extension, therefore, amendment 2 requires a new Ordinance for the second extension.
