EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 11/15/22
PURPOSE: Establish benefits and employment terms for unrepresented Snohomish County Health District employees when they become Snohomish Health Department employees. Amendment content and language has been reviewed and approved by Snohomish County Human Resources, Finance, and the Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
BACKGROUND: The County Council approved Motion 22-248 June 8, 2022, to authorize notice of intent to withdraw from the Snohomish Health District on December 31, 2022, which will allow for the establishment of a new health department. Recognizing the benefits of collaboration, combined resources, strengthened abilities to address issues, improved access, increased opportunity and efficiency, the Council authorized the Motion.
