PURPOSE: Authorizing the Snohomish County Executive to sign an interlocal agreement with Snohomish Health District on behalf of Snohomish County. Attachments include the Ordinance and the Interlocal Agreement.
BACKGROUND: The County Council approved Motion 22-248 June 8, 2022, to authorize notice of intent to withdraw from the Snohomish Health District on December 31, 2022, which will allow for the establishment of a new health department. Recognizing the benefits of collaboration, combined resources, strengthened abilities to address issues, improved access, increased opportunity and efficiency, the Council authorized the Motion.
