PURPOSE: Council to approve Puget Sound Energy Low-Income Weatherization contract PSE-EE-LIW-010 Amendment 8
BACKGROUND: The 2022 Puget Sound Energy LIW Grant provides funding for low-income weatherization services of gas heated units. The outcome of this program is to improve the energy efficiency and health & safety of dwellings owned or occupied by eligible low-income persons/participants. The original contract was issued for January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017, and has been renewed yearly through subsequent amendments. Amendment 8 adds additional funding from Gas Tariff funds of $60,000. Contract amendment period is January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. Total combined grant funding for 2022 is $370,259.45.
