PURPOSE: To approve 2023-2032 Conservation District rates and charges, pursuant to RCW 89.08.405
BACKGROUND: Snohomish Conservation District proposes a system of rates and charges, to finance the activities of the Conservation District for the conservation of natural resources in all areas, whether urban, suburban, or rural. District activities and programs to be funded include promotion of sustainable agriculture and farmland preservation, farm planning and water quality improvements, natural resource management, county-wide information and education, and promoting stewardship, backyard conservation, and sustainable living. Current rates are set at $8.00 per parcel and $0.08 per acre. Proposed rates for the period of 2023 through 2032 are $10.00 per parcel and $0.10 per acre.
