PURPOSE: Approving Purchasing Recommendation for use of a GSA contract for the purchase of an Emergency Notification System for Paine Field Airport Fire Station for an estimated amount of $253,700 plus tax.
BACKGROUND: The proposed new Emergency Notification System will replace a current ring-down system that is approximately 15 years old and no longer in production. The current system is antiquated and does not meet the current footprint of the fire department. The proposed purchase of an updated ringdown line/system will give the fire department more communication points around the fire station and audio/visual alerting when an aircraft is attempting an emergency landing at Paine Field Airport.
