PURPOSE: Adopt an Interlocal Agreement (IA) with the North County Regional Fire Authority and Snohomish County for the provision of fire investigation services.
BACKGROUND: The North County Regional Fire Authority (RFA) is updating its interlocal agreement with the County for fire investigation services to include the cities and towns within the RFA’s jurisdiction, including the cities of Arlington and Stanwood. The ILA will terminate existing agreements with the North County Regional Fire Authority, and the City of Arlington, and will consolidate investigation services under one agreement. If the motion is approved, the Executive needs to send written notices to the North County Regional Fire Authority and the City of Arlington notifying them that their existing ILAs are to be terminated.
