EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approve - Lacey Harper
PURPOSE: To adjust voting precincts due to district boundary changes, annexations and population shifts as required by state and local statute and in a manner that supports efficient election administration. Total number of precincts resulting from these adjustments is 843.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County Elections is required to examine and adjust precinct boundary changes following federal decennial census, annexations to cities/districts and population shifts on an annual basis. All precinct boundary changes must legally be complete at least 14 days prior to the annual candidate filing period conducted in May. Therefore, the deadline for making these changes by council action is April 12, 2022. For additional information, see attached Precinct Changes 2022.
