PURPOSE: To amend the 2022 PDA contract to include a COLA and lump sum payment
BACKGROUND: Companion to ECAF 2022-0238. Contract Amendment 2 is requesting a cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and one-time lump sum payment to the PDA staff. In Motion 22-026, Council approved compensation increases for Snohomish County employees. The PDA Contract aspires to create salary and benefits for PDA employees that are comparable with the salary and benefits of employees of the Snohomish County Prosecutor’s Office, as endorsed by the Standards for Indigent Defense Services adopted by the Washington State Bar Association. Schedule C(A)(24) of the Contract provides for an amendment to the Contract in the event County employees receive a compensation increase.
