PURPOSE: To confirm the appointment of Garry Clark to the Housing Authority of Snohomish County Board of Commissioners
BACKGROUND: The Board of Commissioners is a citizen governing body which provides guidance to the Housing Authority of Snohomish County.
Garry Clark has expressed an interest in utilizing his experience serving on national and local boards, his knowledge of, and experience in Urban/Rural Economic Development and affordable housing concerns, and would like to serve on HASCO's Board of Commissioners to help be a part of HASCO's vision and future.
* Mr. Clark resides in Council District 5 and is currently the President and CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC). Mr. Clark has more than 14 years of experience serving community needs, both professionally as an economic developer, housing professional and housing advocate; personally, by serving on numerous boards and committees, and volunteering throughout the community.
* Mr. Clark's appointment is supported by the other members of the Board as well as the County Executive.
* Once confirmed, Mr. Clark will serve his first term expiring March 14, 2026.
* Mr. Clark currently serves as President Elect for the National Rural Economic Development Association, he is currently serving on the Board of Directors Workforce Snohomish County, Boys and Girls Club and has served on many other boards and committees throughout his career.
