PURPOSE: Amend Snohomish County Code (SCC) Chapter 2.350 - Department of Information Services
BACKGROUND: Chapter SCC 2.350 pertains to the Snohomish County Department of Information Services and related authority, functions, reporting, planning, rates, and governance. Existing code language contains outdated references to Information Technology (IT) solutions and services that need to be updated. Additionally, current code sections detail a restrictive and multi-faceted approach to IT governance that does not reflect existing decision making and planning efforts as we move forward our modern IT organization. This proposed code amendment establishes direction for a more progressive IT department that aligns strong accountability with an agile guidebook for managing the modern business of IT in Snohomish County.
