PURPOSE: To approve the 2022 audit plan
BACKGROUND: SCC 2.700.30 provides that the Performance Auditor shall annually prepare, in consultation with the Performance Audit Committee (PAC), a Performance Audit Plan (Plan), which is a list summarizing potential audit topics, for the upcoming year. Following the Plan’s adoption, Council determines which topic or topics in that Plan will be analyzed through a performance audit. The Performance Auditor, in consultation with the PAC and with input from Snohomish County elected officials has prepared a 2022 Performance Audit Plan and Audit Approach Memorandum. The Memorandum includes a proposed 2022 Audit plan, audit approach summaries and recommendations regarding the priority of audit topics for 2022. The proposed motion adopts the 2022 Audit Plan.
