PURPOSE: Council to approve the Puget Sound Energy Low-Income Weatherization Contract PSE-EE-LIW-010 Amendment 7
BACKGROUND: The 2021 Puget Sound Energy LIW Grant provides funding for low-income weatherization services of gas heated units. The outcome of this program is to improve the energy efficiency and health & safety of dwellings owned or occupied by eligible low-income persons/participants. The original contract was issued for January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017, and has been renewed yearly through subsequent amendments. Amendment 7 adds funding for 2022 including $197,107.45 from the Macquarie funds, $92,300.00 from Gas Tariff funds, and $20,852.00 from Shareholder funds. Contract amendment period is January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022. Total combined grant funding for 2021 is $310,259.45.
