PURPOSE: To request Council authorization of the 2022 Tourism Promotion Area business plan and to-date project expenditures.

 

BACKGROUND: SCC 4.118 authorizes the County to administer a program to allocate revenues accruing to it under provisions of RCW 35.101.05.  These funds are reserved for support of tourism development and promotion projects.   Pursuant to procedures mandated in SCC 4.118, attached is the Tourism Promotion Area business plan and project commitments to date for the 2022 program. Allocations totaling $827,200 are the to-date Tourism Promotion Area Advisory Board recommendations, further recommendations may be made on an ongoing basis.
