PURPOSE: Appointment of Lia Blanchard to the Snohomish County Arts Commission

 

BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Arts Commission was created in 2004 to propose and oversee a county-wide arts program. The arts commission serves as an advisory board and makes recommendations regarding the purchase and commissioning of public art and the promotion of cultural arts in Snohomish County.  Lia Blanchard has been long term guest of the Art’s commission and brings a wealth of knowledge and skills in written and visual communication. Lia is fulfilling an unexpired term for District #1, term expires 12/31/23.  Approval is sought from the Executive to recommend appointment to Council.
