PURPOSE: This ECAF will issue a Notice to Proceed for a performance audit
BACKGROUND: The council’s contract with the Performance Auditor requires a Notice to Proceed prior to commencing an Audit. Council approved the 2022 budget on November 9, 2021 which included a Performance Audit of the Office of Public Defense and the Snohomish County Public Defender’s Association. At the request of the department, the audit is to begin in 2021 with remaining funds in the Council’s budget. An accompanying motion will transfer the necessary funds for 2021 from Professional services into the Performance Audit program. The Performance Audit is anticipated to cost a total of $60.000.
