PURPOSE: Appointment of Naz Lashgari, (District 4) to the Public Facilities District Board for a four year term expiring June 30, 2025.

 

BACKGROUND: Pursuant to RCW 36.100, the Snohomish County Public Facility District was created in July, 2001 as a municipal corporation and an independent taxing authority codified in Chapter 2.19 SCC.  The Public Facilities District was chartered by Snohomish County to oversee potential acquisition, construction, operation and financing of one or more regional centers and related parking as allowed in RCW 36.100. The District is established for the sole purpose of pursuing joint ownership, financing or operational relationships with any other public facility district within the County. The Board is made up of five members appointed by the Council “to reflect the interests of cities and towns in the county, as well as the unincorporated area of the County.” The Board members serve four-year terms.
