Executive/Council Action Form (ECAF)
ITEM TITLE:
Title
Motion 23-448, authorizing the County Executive to sign Amendment 9 to the contract for professional services with AON Consulting
body
DEPARTMENT: Finance
ORIGINATOR: Debbi Mock
EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved by Ken Klein 10/10/23
PURPOSE: To authorize the Executive to sign Amendment #9 with Aon Consulting for Prescription Drug Data Collection (RxDC) Reporting.
BACKGROUND: RFP 015-20BC for Benefits Consulting Services was issued in April 2020 and the selection process was completed in June. AON Consulting was selected as the most qualified vendor. Amendment #8 was a 2-year extension. This amendment is to provide services outside the scope of the original agreement. Aon will provide data collection and support for the annual RxDC Submission for both Regence and Kaiser plans. Section204 (of Title II, Division BB) of the Consolidated Appropriation Act, 2021 (CAA) requires that insurance companies and employer-based health plans must submit information about prescription drugs and health care spending. The amendment covers: 2024 submission for 2023 reference year, 2025 submission for 2024, and 2026 submission for 2025 (due June 1 of each year). Aon has limited capacity for this service and getting the contract in place now will ensure the County can comply with this mandate.
