PURPOSE: To approve and authorize the County Executive to execute grant contract agreement with US Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Food and Farming Center.
BACKGROUND: Snohomish County was awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for $5,000,000.00 for design and construction of the Snohomish County Food and Farming Center. This federal grant is managed through HUD’s online Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting System (DRGR). Having already submitted all the required forms, narratives, budgets, etc to DRGR, the final step is for the grant’s Project Manager, Rachel Dotson, to submit the grant package through DRGR to HUD. Approving and authorizing this Motion will allow Lacey Harper (the authorized official of the grant) to digitally sign on pages 10, 13, and 23 of the Agreement. The draft agreement is attached.
