PURPOSE: Approve and Authorize Snohomish County Executive to sign Agreement #EF26-02AC for Fair Sponsorship.
BACKGROUND: The Evergreen State Fair Food Drive is a long-standing tradition of the Evergreen State Fair. It is a way to provide much needed food for our local food banks and give people the opportunity to receive free weekday admission tickets to the fair. To be able to give away weekday admission tickets in exchange for food donations, we need someone to sponsor the tickets. Lee Johnson Auto Family has partnered with us for many years to be able to offer this to the public. Members of the public donate 5 non-perishable, non-expired food items and receive one free Weekday Evergreen State Fair Gate Admission. No more than 5 tickets per person. The sponsorship consists of $5,000 in cash $52,500 in trade value as described in Schedule A of the agreement.
