PURPOSE: Authorizing the County Executive to Sign the 2024-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement between Snohomish County and the Public, Professional and Office-Clerical Employees and Drivers Local Union 763 affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, representing Law Enforcement Support.

BACKGROUND: This is a three (3) year agreement with the Public, Professional and Office-Clerical Employees and Drivers Local Union 763 affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, representing Law Enforcement Support, effective January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026. This agreement includes changes consistent with most County bargaining units such as updated holiday language, additional steps for cash payment upon termination, change in stand-by pay, and gender neutral pronouns throughout. Appendix A provides an 4.51% wage increase in year one, as well as wage adjustments in subsequent contract years based on the Seattle-Bellevue-Tacoma annual June to June CPI-W formula with a floor of 1% and a ceiling of five percent (5.0%) as well as moving classifications to the same wage scale as most of the other county bargaining units. This agreement supersedes the agreement that expired on December 31, 2023, and covers approximately 65 employees.
