EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: Approving an agreement with Greater Seattle Partners (GSP) to coordinate, lead, and report back key findings for an Advanced Benchmarking trip to Dublin, Ireland and London and Sheffield, England focused on SAF.
BACKGROUND: The goal of benchmarking assessments it to identify gaps in current regional initiatives and highlight successful models for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Hubs such as partnerships, policy, funding, incentives, and technology. Benchmarking assessments also inform future international collaboration networks, positioning the future Snohomish County SAF R&D Center as a global leader in the clean aviation space. The Advanced trip highlighted in the agreement includes a smaller delegation who will be conducting introductory meetings to identify and inform the need for a larger trip delegation.
