PURPOSE: To consider adopting the 2024 Audit Plan
BACKGROUND: SCC 2.700.30 provides that the Performance Auditor shall annually prepare, in consultation with the Performance Audit Committee (PAC), a Performance Audit Plan (Plan), which is a list summarizing potential audit topics, for the upcoming year. Following the Plan’s adoption, Council determines which topic or topics in that Plan will be analyzed through a performance audit. The Performance Auditor, in consultation with the PAC and with input from Snohomish County elected officials has prepared a 2024 Performance Audit Plan and Audit Approach Memorandum. The Memorandum includes a proposed 2024 Audit plan, audit approach summaries and recommendations regarding the audit topics for 2024. The proposed motion adopts the 2024 Audit Plan.
