PURPOSE: Enter Data Sharing Agreement with Washington State Department of Health for confidential information or limited datasets and providing authority to approve any future amendments. Snohomish County, acting through its Health Department, needs access to the Respiratory Virus Hospitalization Surveillance Network (RESP-NET) datasets through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Rapid Health Information Network (RHINO) program.
BACKGROUND: RESP-NET comprises three platforms that conduct population-based surveillance for laboratory-confirmed hospitalizations associated with COVID-19, Influenza, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) among children and adults. RESP-NET aggregate data will be used for reporting purposes such as making comparisons, predicting health condition trends, other statistical analyses, and assists local health jurisdictions with providing quality public health services.
