PURPOSE: Authorize acceptance of grant from Department of Ecology and enter Interagency Agreement (IAA) to conduct sampling to support development of a Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) at former Tect lease site.
BACKGROUND: .
Ø The Airport was approached by the Department of Ecology for funding available to support the environmental work at the former Tect site.
Ø Per Ecology’s request, the Snohomish County Airport completed a Grant Inquiry Form for the site.
Ø Airport and Ecology have negotiated a scope and budget that will be covered by the grant as reflected in the IAA.
Ø The value of the grant is NTE $54,000 and work must be performed by December 31, 2021.
