PURPOSE: To obtain approval of the 2nd amendment to a 2021 contract for legal services with Frey Buck P.S. for the civil litigation of the Dold case
BACKGROUND: The Prosecuting Attorney’s Office entered into a Contract for Legal Services on February 12, 2021, with Theron A. Buck and Frey Buck, P.S. for litigation services involving the Dold matter. The original contract limited authorized expenditures to $50,000. The first amendment to the contract on February 14, 2022, increased the authorized expenditure limit to $100,000. As the PAO continues its work on this civil case for the foreseeable future, it seeks to amend the contract by increasing the authorized expenditure limit to $300,000.
