EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION:  Approved by Ken Klein 9/9/24

PURPOSE: Council approval of an Ordinance to grant and establish a new County road right-of-way

BACKGROUND: On June 30, 2017, Northshore School District # 417 (NSD # 417) applied to Planning and Development Services (PDS) requesting approval for a conditional use permit to authorize construction of 76,191 square foot three story elementary and 12,184 square foot three story middle school named Maltby Elementary and Middle School, now known as Ruby Bridges.  As a condition of approval for the development, the Department of Public Works (DPW) and PDS are requiring NSD # 417 to construct a new public road, 49th Dr SE, north of SR 524.  The proposed road establishment is in Council District 5.  See Engineer’s Report for additional Facts/Background and Findings.
