PURPOSE: Council to approve Puget Sound Energy Low-Income Weatherization contract PSE-EE-LIW-101 Amendment 15 - This amendment was received to provide funding for Space and Water Heater Electrification funds.
BACKGROUND: The Puget Sound Energy LIW Grant provides funding for low-income weatherization services of gas heated units. The outcome of this program is to improve the energy efficiency and health & safety of dwellings owned or occupied by eligible low-income persons/participants. The original contract was issued for January 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017, and has been renewed annually through subsequent amendments. Amendment 15 includes an additional $100,000 in funding for Space and Water Heater Electrification funds Total combined grant funding for this amendment is $770,338.19.
