PURPOSE: Approve Grant Award
BACKGROUND: Since 2008 the Washington Auto Theft Prevention Authority has awarded the Sheriff’s Office grant funding. In 2025, under ECAF 2025-1091, the Sheriff’s Office applied for and received a grant for the period of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2027. We were aware of this grant application and included it on our 2025 grant work plan for $830,000 however, the grant award was $1,227,717. Therefore, we are seeking Council’s approval for this grant award.
