PURPOSE: Motion confirming the re-appointment of Marine Resources Advisory Committee Member to serve their third 3-year term. Snohomish County citizen recommended for appointment is Ms. Julie Schlenger representing district #3.
BACKGROUND: The Snohomish County Marine Resources Advisory Committee (MRC) is authorized by Snohomish County Code Chapter 2.800.020 to advise the County Council and Executive on marine issues.
The thirteen-member committee represents diverse interests including local governments, tribes, economic, environmental and conservation interests. Ms. Julie Schlenger was appointed to the MRC for her second term in January of 2023.
Ms. Schlenger, who represents Snohomish County District #3, requests to be reappointed to a third full term under Position #3. This term expires December 31, 2028.
