PURPOSE: To recommend the appointment of Fred Plappert to the North Sound Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: The North Sound Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization (NSBHASO) Advisory Board currently has 3 (three) Snohomish County vacancies. The NSBHASO Advisory Board advocates for the interests of individuals with mental health issues and substance use disorder, and provides recommendations to the NSBHASO Board of Directors, consisting of elected officials from Island, San Juan, Skagit, Whatcom, and Snohomish Counties.
The Advisory Board is comprised of twenty-six (26) members, nine (9) from Snohomish County. Mr. Plappert has been a community behavioral health advocate since 2006 and a certified peer counselor since 2007, in addition to serving on this board for several terms prior. The North Sound Behavioral Health Administrative Services Organization Advisory Board voted unanimously to recommend this individual for appointment. Frederick Plappert's term expires 5/07/2027. Frederick Plappert does not serve on any other county board or commission.
