PURPOSE: The proposed Ordinance would amend Snohomish County Code relating to board membership of the Agricultural Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND: At present all eleven Agricultural Advisory Board positions are filled. The Agricultural Advisory Board members feel that it is in the County’s best interest to have someone on the board with knowledge of and engagement in the forestry industry, including forest production manufacturing (Proposed Position 12). The board also feels that it is in the best interest of the County to add a new member who resides in the county and is engaged in the agricultural industry (except direct marketing) within the county (Proposed Position 13).
