EXECUTIVE RECOMMENDATION: Approved
PURPOSE: Approval of amendment No. 1 to agreement SWMCC01-22, which allows Surface Water Management to utilize Aquatechnex LLC for invasive aquatic plant herbicide treatments in Snohomish County lakes.
BACKGROUND: Invasive aquatic species are harming the ecological health and recreational suitability of several lakes in Snohomish County, including Lakes Goodwin, Shoecraft, Roesiger, Sunday and Gissberg/Twin. A Professional Services Agreement between Snohomish County and Aquatechnex, LLC was approved by Council for Executive signature in August of 2022. Since then, the cost of certain materials used for one of the five treatments in the agreement has increased. This amendment addresses the increase of the associated rates in the agreement. Since the estimated quantities of materials needed under this agreement have been reduced from the original estimates, the total contract amount does not need to be changed.
